About us

Johnsons Chartered Accountants was founded in 1981 by the Johnson family consisting of father and two sons, all of whom were accountants. Since its early days we have evolved into a progressive and dynamic professional practice with a comprehensive understanding of today's business needs.

The Managing Director, David Turner FCA, is supported by a dedicated team of accountants, company secretary, tax specialists and support staff all based in West London with affiliate offices in the Isle of Man and Dubai. Stuart Thomson joined the practice in July 2015 as part of a growth strategy which led to the purchase of Simpsons Chartered Accountants ( a well established practice dating back to the 1930s) in September 2015.

As Chartered Accountants, Johnsons offer a specialist service to a wide range of clients.  If you are a business looking for personalised support, an entrepreneur or a private individual we can help you with all your accounting issues.   Whilst a broad based practice we also specialise in a number of sectors. These include:  Property including 'buy to let'; IT and other Consultancy; Media and Entertainment; Construction and Not for Profit.  Our clients range from individuals and small family run businesses to award winning companies and PLCs engaged in a wide range of sectors.

We can assist clients in completing their accounting records, preparing monthly or quarterly financial management information, completing VAT returns, maintaining PAYE/NIC records and meeting the ever increasing regulatory requirements imposed on businesses. We use all the leading accounting software packages and offer training in their use. Our Tax Department is headed up by a senior tax practitioner who can assist in planning company and personal tax affairs so as to achieve maximum advantage of tax reliefs and it specialises in Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.

We provide a comprehensive advisory service to business start ups by assisting with the preparation of business plans; suggesting and implementing recommended ownership structures; and advising on the best funding and tax arrangements such as EIS and SEIS.
